Commission E and Disdik Prepare School Renovation in 2018

City Council Commission E and Education Dept. (Disdik) held an evaluation and projection meeting to prepare school renovation program this year.

Both sides are targeting to renovate at least 219 schools this year. 119 heavy renovation and 11 total renovation.

"We always remind to prepare school renovation program 2018 well," said Syahrial, Commission E Chairman, Tuesday (1/16).

According to him, school renovation program 2017 has been implemented quite well. But it still needs to be prepared well to prevent any failures.

"We are afraid, failure would happen again if it is not prepared well," he expressed.

At the same location, Disdik Deputy Head, Bowo Irianto explained, his side will change auction scheme to anticipate delays in renovation. Last year, heavy renovation is done through consolidation auction. But this time it will be done in each sub-dept.

"We hope this scheme would ensure renovation quality since auction planning is done under department authority," he explained.

Meanwhile, school renovation planning is done by department. Including its specifications and each unit price.

"We encourage them to be like that because hard renovation is not an easy task to do," he mentioned.
